  23. INSTALL FROM CD
  24. ---------------
  25. If the CD does not auto run then run "setup.exe" from the CD.
  26. The install program has three (count 'em!) installation options
  27.  
  28. 1.Install the game
  29.   This will install the Space Bastards(tm) onto your hard drive. No really, it will!
  30. 2.Install DirectX
  31.   This will run the Microsoft DirectX installation for DirectX 5.02
  32. 3.Install DirectShow
  33.   This will install the DirectMedia video playback software. This is required for the
  34.   intro cutscene to be played back. If your machine does not already have this installed
  35.   and you choose not to install this product then the intro will not appear when 
  36.   Space Bastards(tm) is run and that's no good at all!

  39. INSTRUCTIONS
  40. ------------
  41. Space Bastards(tm) has a very complicated and completely revolutionary game concept.
  42. In order to finish a level; you must first kill all the Bastards! Of course, this may involve
  43. moving crates, blowing shit up, leaping off tall stuff, and slaughtering innocent endangered
  44. species of alien life, but that won't be any trouble to someone of your mental stature ;-)

  46. You control your Robosaur with the mouse and may interact with different parts of the game by 
  47. using the left button to make him perform the current action with the selected object. The right
  48. button will cycle through the actions available at that given moment.
  49.  
  50. It's that easy. Even incontinent old women could make considerable progress in just one sitting!
  51.  
  52. SHORTCUT KEYS
  53. -------------
  54. BACKSPACE    Oops! Undoes your last action (up to 50 times on Easy mode)
  55. Left Mouse    Select action
  56. Right Mouse    If over an object will cycle through available actions otherwise will stop speech samples
  57. F1        Toggle Mouse Panning Mode (try it and see)
  58. F2        Restart Level
  59. F3        Swap between players ( double player only )
  60. F4        Options
  61. F5        Type message
  62. F8        Bounce MAP around the screen
  63. F9        Increase size of MAP
  64. SHIFT+F8    Previous position of MAP
  65. SHIFT+F9    Decrease size of MAP
  66. ESC        Quit. ESC again to fast exit
  67.         Will also stop the level over bonus sequence.
  68. PGDN        Next Level on current planet
  69. PGUP        Previous Level on current planet

  72. DIFFICULTY LEVELS
  73. -----------------
  74. Each planet has 10 levels to be completed. When you complete all the levels you will be warped to a new 
  75. planet immediately. However, depending on the difficulty level you have chosen, the next planet will become 
  76. available for conquest as soon as a minimum number of levels have been completed.
  77. You will be notified that the next planet is available when this occurs and you may choose to change planet
  78. through the options screen from this point on.
